Be You

Be you - Developing mentally healthy learning communities at St Luke’s Preschool Dapto. 

This year St Luke’s Preschool has registered as a Be You Learning community.  Be You is about creating a mentally healthy learning community for everyone - staff, families, children, young people and beyond. 

In partnership with Beyond Blue and Early Childhood Australia, Educators in the Action Team at St Luke’s Preschool complete professional learning modules that provide the tools information to support children, young people and their families, towards better mental health and well-being.  

 By completing Be You learning modules, Educators are supported by a Be You Consultant who guides and provides support within the St Luke’s learning team.

Be You enhances Educators skills to support children and young people, and importantly to care for Educators and Staff own mental health and wellbeing, ensuring Educators are able to foster a culture of healthy wellbeing within the service. 

Be You supports Educators to embed good social and emotional learning practices with the aim of maximising resilience of children and young people to reduce the risk of future mental health issues. 

By commencing our Be You journey, St Luke’s Preschool is committed to supporting children, young people and their families, to create a healthy, inclusive and resilient learning community.
