During the first few weeks of our program, we ensure the children feel safe, secure and supported in the preschool environment. Through this, the children have been developing a sense of belonging and developing friendships.
We hope you like it as much as we do!
Today Niko, Arran and Hayden co-constructed a castle home for their animals and insects. Throughout this construction play the boys were able to develop skills to enhance their sense of belonging and friendship.
Niko, Arran and Hayden have begun to explore aspects of their identity through role play, showing spatial awareness, creativity and imagination. During this role play and construction experience, the children begin to foster the development of skills such as working cooperatively within a group, negotiation, problem solving, building their confidence to express their own opinions / ideas and to accept others ideas and points of view.
